It was comfirmed that the game will be in third-person but unsure if first-person will be available or not just like Skyrim.
So, what type of combat is ESO?
Based on the developer, ESO will almost the same as older Elder Scroll series which is right click to attack, left click to defend and hold right click to do heavy attack (which consumed stamina).
On the Ask Us Anything: Combat program by the developer, there will be a soft locking system that will allow you to pick up target when in crowd. Also it is possible to dodge in a fight (also consumed stamina).
And so everyone can PvP when reaching level 10 in Cyrodiil and can start leveling through PvP. For those who wanted to be healer, there's no need to worry if you want to find your target (to heal member) on crowd (im sure it will be crowded especially in PvP) because most of healing is AoEs (Area of Effects) which mean those who enter within the radius will be healed. So the best strategy is to put healer in the center.
Whats new in ESO is you have six slots to equip, and you have a backup weapon so that you can change weapon fast. And whats new is you can use your member. For example, a necromancer can sacrifie his party member to summon a powerful monster and so on.
For the bow user, just like Skyrim you need to aim to shoot. But this time there will be a charged shot for more damage.
And the PvE, the game set in Second Era so there is no The World Eater which is Alduin or any dragon. And player can see Riften before the war. Also the ruin wont seen as old ruin. There is alot of new monster in ESO. Although dragon will not appear in this game, there is monster that almost like dragon (Well its look like salamander in real life) which is The Wamasu.
The plant from older series of Elder Scroll like Nirnroot will also in ESO. And recipe for alchemy will almost the same as other series.
Sure there is alot more features coming in this Elder Scroll Online but is not informed yet.
